Techtive started out as a hole in the wall, small size computer repair shop. During Covid the owner of a coffee shop next door had to close down and Techtive saw the opportunity to grow their business into something more. After purchasing the coffee shop and tearing down the wall between them, Techtive rebranded as a internet cafe & computer repair shop. Since most repair shops are either really dingey & run down or super sleak and modern, Tective decided to go the route of comfortable and cozy. They also coined their saying in this transition phase "relax. we can fix that." Techitve wants to be seen as the least stressful place to be if you are having tech issues since they understand that it's already a stressful situation to be there.
Techtive wants to be the one stop shop for all tech needs and do it in a way that promotes a comfortable and cozy sensation when you walk through the doors. They want to be able to relate to each kind of computer user whether it's for gaming, photography, designing, or just other hobbies. Techtive wants to showcase that they about what the customer cares about, showing that they are active computer nerds through and through.
Techtive has rebranded to use more calming color palette that is versatile and can be used to decorate different computer rooms for different representations. Techtive has also implemented full use of the new acquired kitchen and started serving simple coffee beverages & all day breakfast items with hopes to grow. Techtive has also upgraded their online presence with their new service of selling refurbished computers they recieve through donations.
Techtive's target audience is pretty wide due everyone needing tech assistance every now and then. They pitch their internet cafe to a younger audience, like college students, allowing student discounts and study group sessions to rent out rooms. The computer repair side tends to grab the attention of a older crowd just because with tech is becoming more and more convoluted to understand and Techtive wants people to know that they will help no matter how big or small the issue is.
Techtive was designed to be simple and modern, but cozy and warm at the same time. Fort the most part, each color chosen was mixed with a tad bit of grey to soften each color on the eye. I want the colors to be eye catching but not bright and annoying to people who are already annoyed. Going further into the concept of calm and relaxing, Techtive likes to utilize lowercase wherever they can, if it doesn't sacrifice understanding. Some say if you find all the lowercase letters where there shouldn't be it spells out a secret code.
Techtive likes have sense of light hearted jokes in their printed material. The three examples depicted comical situations on why you would have to bring yout gear into a shop. Whether its a damaged airpod filled with tomato sauce or a computer destroyed by a budget music producer, stuff happens and techtive tries their best to understand.
On the last printed material I thought a quick jab at myself could be a fun concept, design a two page spread or online post that utilizes a jacked up layout in order bug a certain population of computer users, aka designers.
Lastly the website, the unique aspect of this brand in particular. Since Techtive is a tech brand I wanted to use it to showcase my website building skills and test how well I know how to lay out information. The website would utilize navy and orange as its main navigation colors and use the cream and white as accents.
