Interest change, embrace it!

Over the past five years, I have come to realize that as a creative, we go through phases of evolution in our work. Every project, every job, every day contributes to our growth, whether we like it or not. Our creative ideas stick to us like post-it notes, and we work a style until it bores us. However, we must embrace this process and pick up our dusty pencils to find ourselves again. We need to rediscover what made us fall in love with our career in the first place.

I wholeheartedly believe in this mindset, and over the past five years, I have changed hobbies, styles, and interests countless times. I have created and destroyed many projects just because they were "mental practices" that could have been great additions to my portfolio. But I never fretted because I knew that the passion would come around again. The idea would creep up on me in the shower, and I would be glued to my computer once more.

If you have done something creative once, it's just a trial to test the waters. If you've done it twice, you're formulating the idea and planning the product. But if you've done it three times, you're addicted, and it becomes a staple in your design.

My name is Jonathan, and I am a 25-year-old graphic artist/designer still trying to find my place in building my career after five years of graphic design work and multiple different trials and projects. Currently, I am wrapped up in sound design and producing music. I know it may seem like a weird turn, but art finds a way to bleed and merge into one another. Music can be just as visual and impactful as a well-rounded sans-serif "P" or impactful headers centered on the page circled by context.

Apart from music, I am usually working on fake brands for practice, logos, or some new art trend. Please feel free to check out my portfolio for some examples!
